An institution established by the universities of French-speaking Switzerland, CUSO finances, coordinates and organizes joint doctoral activities on behalf of its members (Universities of Fribourg, Geneva, Lausanne, Neuchâtel, and IHEID), associate member (ISDC) and partners (University of Berne among others).
The four French-speaking universities and IHEID have joined forces to offer joint doctoral programs in a variety of fields. In doing so, these institutions confirm that the training of doctoral students is becoming increasingly important in order to better respond to quality imperatives and to ensure increased professional opportunities for young doctors. CUSO also manages its own transversal program of generic competencies.
